Terms
Terms of service.
These terms cover the use of the CargoRoute application and of this website. CargoRoute is a new product that is onboarding its first carriers, so these terms are short on purpose. If your company signs a separate written agreement with us, that agreement comes first wherever the two differ.
1. The service
CargoRoute is a web application that trucking carriers use to manage their own operation: loads and dispatch, drivers and equipment, documents, invoices, settlements and reports. By using it, you agree to these terms on behalf of the company you work for.
The public demo is for trying the product. It holds sample data and may be reset at any time, so do not enter real business or personal information into it.
2. Accounts
Each person signs in with their own account. Your company decides who is invited to its workspace and which role each person has, and is responsible for what those people do there. Keep sign-in details private, and tell us promptly if you think an account has been used by someone else.
3. Your data
What your company enters into CargoRoute belongs to your company. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the service to you. You are responsible for its accuracy, and for having the right to enter it, including information about your drivers, your customers and their contacts.
How that data is handled is described on the Privacy and Security & data pages.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to store material you have no right to store;
- try to reach another company's data, or to get around the limits of your own role;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or run automated tools against it without our written consent;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.
5. What the service is not
CargoRoute is a system of record for your operation. It is not professional advice and does not replace the people and systems you rely on for it:
- It is not an accounting, payroll or tax system. It records money that has already moved; it does not process payments, run payroll or withhold taxes.
- Compliance tracking is a record of expiration dates with reminders. It is not a regulatory certification, and your company remains responsible for meeting its legal and regulatory obligations.
- Profitability figures and settlement calculations depend on what has been entered. Check them before you rely on them.
6. Price and payment
Starting at $100/month. Your company's price and how it is billed are agreed with you in writing before you are charged anything. No payment is taken through this website.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but at this stage the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Features may be added, changed or removed. Anything described as planned is a plan, not a promise.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total liability to your company is limited to the amount your company paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending the service
Your company can stop using CargoRoute at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or agreed fees are not paid. Before you close an account, export the records you need; write to us if you need help with that.
10. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the new version is published on this page with its date. If a change matters to how you use the service, we will tell the Owners of affected workspaces by email before it takes effect.
